We’ve made it to March, y’all. There are only two major tax deadlines remaining, but they cover a lot.
March 15
- S Corporation returns due
- Partnership returns due
- Form 7004 must be filed to request an extension
- Miscellaneous Income Statements due if filing them via e-filing (Form 1099- MISC)
April 15
- Individual tax returns due
- C Corporation returns due
- Form 4868 must be filed for individual extensions
As always, remember: An extension gives you more time to file, not more time to pay! You still owe taxes on April 15, even if you aren’t actually filing your return then due to an extension!
And here’s a handy little graphic to remember all of this. Feel free to download and save as a reminder!
